Camera

Experience required: none

Play an integral part in our weekly services by capturing video of the teaching pastor. Be part of a teamwork-centric environment, getting directions from the video director.

Time commitment: When you serve, it will usually be for both services on Sunday.

Lighting

Experience required: none

Play an integral part in our weekly services by aiding the worship and teaching experience with creative lighting. Be part of a teamwork-centric environment, getting directions from the video director. This position has an opportunity for creative input if desired, but is not required.

Time commitment: When you serve, it will usually be for both services on Sunday.

Audio

Experience required: An ear for musicality and timing is required. Must take part in training/practices.
Play an integral part in our weekly services by aiding the worship team in leading the congregation to Worship. Be part of a teamwork-centric environment, getting direction from the worship director.This position has many opportunities for creative input.

Time commitment: Venue – 9:15 service only | Auditorium – 9:15 / 11AM services | rehearsals are typically on Thursday evening

Video Director

Experience required: Knowledge of camera equipment/terms. An eye for camera shots and visual timing.

Play an integral part in our weekly services by leading the camera crew and graphics operators, putting the visuals on the screen to assist the teaching pastor. This position has many opportunities for creative input.

Time commitment: When you serve, it will usually be for both services on Sunday.

Graphics


Experience required: none

Play an integral part in our weekly services by displaying graphics and song lyrics. Be part of a teamwork-centric environment, getting directions from the video director.

Time commitment: Venue Service – 9:15 | Auditoriums services – 9:15 & 11:00

Creative Writing / Design / Video

Experience required: Experience in a relevant creative field

Assist in creating video, designs or social media posts for ministries, events, a new sermon series, etc.

Time commitment: We have Creative Team meetings over lunch a few times every year to talk about upcoming projects. Attendance is preferred but not required.

General Cleaning

General cleaning of all areas of the building.

Medical Team

Be on a team willing to serve the congregation if a medical need arises during the church activities you attend


Carpet Cleaning

Spot cleaning and/or entire room cleaning.


Repairs and Maintenance

This includes plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and Mechanical.


Parking Attendants

Assisting with the flow of parking lot traffic and be a welcoming presence for attendees and guests on Sunday
Mornings at 9:05 to 9:30 a.m. or 10:50 to 11:15 a.m.


Snow Removal

Scooping out entryways- Any day(s) or part of day(s) available.


Outdoor Volunteer

This opportunity includes, but is not limited to, timing bushes/trees, picking up trash,
edging sidewalks, mowing, and pulling weeds.

Instrumentalists

For musicians who play acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, drums, auxiliary percussion, keys or piano, violin. Time commitment will involve rehearsals on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings for the weeks you are scheduled to play.


Vocalists

For dynamic singers who are passionate about leading the church in worship of our God. Time commitment will involve rehearsals on Thursday evenings and on Sunday mornings for the weeks you are scheduled to sing.


Creative Worship Arts

We have a diverse set of learners who attend Kearney Efree. Creative arts allows us to engage the auditory learner, the visual learner, and the kinesthetic learner in our services each Sunday. Painters, sculptors, photographer, graphic designers, creative writers narrators, builders, and more are encouraged to use their gifts to lead in this area of ministry.


Tech Crew

Helping run audio/visual equipment and tech support for the Bilingual service at 11 a.m. Sunday mornings.


Worship Arts Team

Those interested in singing or playing instruments in the bilingual worship band on Sunday mornings for the 11 a.m. service.


Bilingual Ministry

Those interested assisting the Bilingual Ministry on Sunday mornings or through various events and programs.


MIA Team Member

Men In Action meets on the second Saturday of every month. This ministry’s purpose is to show Christ’s love and provide care to widows, single moms, and people in need. The care provided is comprised of, but not limited to, home upkeep, car maintenance, etc. If you would like to know more about this ministry email info@kearneyefree.com


Men’s Leadership Team

This is a group of men who help with Men’s Event planning and set-up.


Forge Table Leader

This is a group of men who either facilitate or co-facilitate discussion at tables of 8-12 men during Forge sessions


Forge Breakfast Crew

This group plans, prepares, and serves breakfast to the men at Wednesday morning Forge.


Forge Tech Crew

This group runs the sound and visual media for Wednesday morning Forge.

High School Small Group Leader 

Connect with students during game time, keep students on task during large group, and facilitate a small group. Pray for the small group throughout the week.


Hospitality Team – Middle School 

Help prepare and serve snacks on Wednesday nights, also help with meal preparation at special events.


Middle School Small Group Leader  

Connect with kids during game time, keep kids on task during large group, and facilitate a small group. Pray for small group kids throughout the week.

Kitchen Team

This person would help prepare the meal with a team of people.


LifeGroup Leader

C20 has several LifeGroups that meets throughout the week. This person would have a passion for discipling college students or young adults to growing in maturity in Christ.


Check-In Assistant

A Check-in assistant welcomes families and helps them check-in to eFree Kids groups. Some software experience is helpful, but a welcoming attitude is most important.


Nursery Volunteer

Nursery Volunteers care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and seeking to create a positive experience while in the nursery.


Early Childhood Volunteer

Early Childhood volunteers assist the Group Team Leader by assisting kids (2’s – Kindergarten) with craft projects, snack time, lesson activities and music time. Curriculum and activities are all planned and prepared by church staff.


Early Childhood Leader

This volunteer position is the leader of one of the classrooms for our preschool age classes, and has the help of Early Childhood volunteers. Each classroom usually has three helpers assisting the Leader. Curriculum and activities are all planned and prepared by church staff.


Elementary Small Group Leader

Elementary Small Group leaders assist the Class Team Leader by engaging with kids in small groups, and the whole class at times. Curriculum and activities are all planned and prepared by church staff.

Elementary Tech Volunteer

Elementary Tech Volunteers control the lighting, audio and the presentation software to display videos, song slides, and sound fx.


Student Volunteer

Students in 6th-12th grade can assist, and when ready, lead in some key volunteer roles with eFree Kids ministry. Most students start by assisting a classroom leader with Early Childhood Sunday School classes. This is a great way for kids to begin to live out their own faith by serving others!

Women’s LifeGroup Facilitator

For women who want to invite others to follow Jesus, to get on and move along His discipleship path in the context of LifeGroup community on Monday Nights in the eFree Venue. After a semester or two at the church building, these groups will move into homes so that we can better focus on mission as salt & light in our Kearney neighborhoods!


Women’s Events Team

Be a part of the team that comes together throughout the year to plan and carry out women’s and all church gatherings.


Hope and Healing Coach

Join in as a 1:1 short-term support coach who creates a bridge for those who are losing hope or feel ‘stuck’ in life. You will offer the gift of listening and prayer, and will walk a little ways down the path in a difficult season to help someone find hope and move forward onto a healing path with Jesus. You will pass on this care ‘baton’ once you help her get connected to a healthy tribe of people in a CareGroup or LifeGroup. Training will be provided.


LifeGroup Leader

LifeGroup leaders lead our adult LifeGroups. Training is available.


LifeGroup Assistant Leader or Apprentice

LifeGroup apprentices assist our LifeGroup leaders as they lead our adult LifeGroups. Training is available.


LifeGroups Leadership Team

Helps oversee, guide, and equip LifeGroup leaders while partnering with the LifeGroups Pastor in envisioning, developing, championing, and facilitating the LifeGroups ministry.


CareGroup Facilitator or Co-facilitator​

CareGroup Facilitators and co-facilitators mentor people seasonally in a group format through a difficult time in life. We want to help people move beyond merely surviving, to thriving in a relationship with Christ Jesus and all people! Indicate which of these Care Ministry teams you’d like to join with: Recovery (R3); GriefShare; DivorceCare; DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K); Blended Families; Short-term ‘Soul Care’ Groups. Training will be provided

eFree Transit – Volunteer  

eFree Transit’s purpose is to provide the residents of the Kearney homeless shelters a ride to attend a church service here. Rides will be provided on a 12-passenger van. We need both van drivers and riders, so we can have two volunteers for each transit service. We would love to have you join our team


Care Team – Advocates  

Advocates meet one-on-one with Storehouse participants, working towards financial health by identifying internal and external obstacles, setting goals, and providing encouragement along the way. This team member does not need to be well-versed in financial and budgeting skills, as all paperwork and training will be provided to serve in this role. Strengths for this position will primarily include a desire to encourage others, one-on-one discipleship, as well as a heart for those who are struggling and either living in poverty or trying to improve their current life situation. This role is for male and female leaders.


Kids Hope USA – Mentor at Emerson Elementary

KidsHope places trained mentors in the schools one hour, once a week, for one year. Each
mentor has the unique opportunity to build life-changing relationships through committing to love and support the student they are matched with.

Hospitality Team – MWF 9am – 12pm; TTh 3:30pm – 6:30pm

Our Hospitality Team runs the Storehouse during our Open Hours. This role primarily consists of welcoming guests and participants, assisting them with shopping in the Storehouse pantry, helping with current projects, answering the phone, and connecting with participants and guests who visit Storehouse throughout the week. This team member will receive training and will have access to the hospitality manual so they feel best equipped to answer any questions they may receive while serving.


Cafe Serving Team

This team provides complimentary beverages, purchasable specialty drinks and pastries, and a welcoming environment for conversation and reflection on Sunday mornings.


Greeter

Welcome guests as they enter the eFree building on Sunday mornings.


Info Desk Attendant

Help direct and provide information to guests of eFree by attending to the Information Center on Sunday mornings.

Usher

Assist guests and families in finding available seats and distribute the printed handout as guests enter


Prayer Partner

Every Sunday morning men and women attend eFree, who are silently holding burdens, longing for someone to care. Each week as our services conclude prayer partners make themselves available to listen, and then bring those requests before God. Volunteer requirements include: belief in prayer, gentleness, listening spirit, commitment to confidentiality.


Connection Team

This team follows up with first time guests and assists with selected Connection events.


Marriage Mentors

WHO: If you have a healthy marriage and a healthy walk with the Lord and want to help marriages in our church and community, be trained to be a Marriage Mentor Couple. You don’t have to have a perfect marriage (since there are no perfect marriages). You just need to be willing to be used by God to help couples in need. You can complete this online training at your own pace, and it doesn’t obligate you to anything. So register, complete the training, and see if this is an area in which you would be willing to serve.
